The next 5 States we want to visit

The USA is our favourite country in the world to travel in. It truly has everything, from outrageous beaches to jawdropping national parks, to exciting cities to epic deserts. We could go back there 1000 times and never get bored! So here, in no particular order, is our mini bucket list for the next 5 States we want to visit...

1. Maine

Lighthouses, lobster, Acadia National Park... we have been drooling over pictures of this slice of New England heaven for a while now. Imagine a coastal roadtrip through gorgeous autumnal colours, staying in cosy b&bs and eating lobster rolls and blueberry pie, then heading to Acadia National Park for some of the most gorgeous rugged Atlantic hiking we've ever seen...

2. Tennessee

There is so much history in Tennessee: Civil War and Civil Rights. Memphis. Nashville. GRACELAND! Country music and rock and roll and blues. A Johnny Cash museum! Oooh southern cooking, BBQ and Jack Daniels. Great Smokey Mountains National Park. We're very excited to visit the Volunteer State.

3. Colorado

We've been planning a trip that starts in beautiful Denver. We'd love to spend a few days here in this mountain city exploring the art galleries and craft breweries before heading out into Rocky Mountain National Park for some epic wilderness. Which leads us to...

4. Wyoming

The Cowboy State. Wide open spaces. Bison herds. The Oregon Trail. And of course the big 2: Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Oh boy. We dream about tacking this onto the back of our Colorado plans and making it one big road trip.

5. New York

Start spreading the news... back on the east coast, we'd love to visit the Big Apple together. We've both been seperately but never together, and Emma was only 7 when she went so can hardly remember it. The state is so much more than just NYC however - we'd also love to explore the Finger Lakes wine region, the Adirondack Mountains, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and of course head to Niagara Falls!
